A new bilingual children’s publishing brand prepares to welcome young readers into the playful world of “A Wiggly Wobble the Worm Story”.

QUÉBEC CITY, Québec — August 1, 2026 — Plantin, Defoe & Franklin Publishing is pleased to announce the creation of PDFP Junior, a new bilingual publishing brand dedicated to imaginative, colourful, and engaging books for children.

Created for young readers and the families who share stories with them, PDFP Junior will publish books in both English and French. The new brand will focus on memorable characters, playful humour, visual storytelling, gentle life lessons, and adventures designed to encourage curiosity and a lasting love of reading.

The first series to be released under the PDFP Junior brand will be A Wiggly Wobble the Worm Story, coming soon.

Wiggly is an enthusiastic and endlessly curious little worm whose imagination frequently carries him into funny and unexpected situations. His adventures unfold in a cheerful farmyard world populated by a recurring cast of distinctive friends, including Midnight the cat, Mrs. Feather the chicken, Cookie the dog, Picklo the pickle, and the bright sun that captures Wiggly’s attention.

The first illustrated book in the series, Wiggly Wants a Bite of the Sun, will introduce readers to Wiggly as he sets out to answer a very important question: could the glowing sun in the sky be something delicious to eat?

What begins as a simple idea soon becomes a warm and humorous adventure about curiosity, determination, friendship, and discovering that things are not always quite what they appear to be.

The creation of PDFP Junior marks an important expansion for Plantin, Defoe & Franklin Publishing, establishing a dedicated home for children’s literature alongside the company’s publications for adult readers.
